Testing 1, 2, 3...

Hello,

this will be a blog from an employee to the traveler that uses our services at Barcelona.

Since I'll be working on this slowly, this site has to be yet properly listed through keywords, planned & organized, but here I am advancing you a few of the reasons why I'm doing this, what will you be able to find, etc.

First things first, I have now not much time to post in all the languages that are predicted to be here, so I'll just briefly post in English, which I am aware not every traveler is familiar with, but it is the most used common language among non-native speakers.

Reasons to create the website

Honestly? The fact most of our users (that do have the time) miss a lot of good atractions or places they would or could be highly interested to (and enjoy) because they lack the information and because they are too hesitant to ask the staff or hesitant to follow the staff's recomendations.

The second reason is to provide some of the common rules & guidances most travelers don't know before coming to the bus and make them lose time before enjoying the ride. The cost of Barcelona's (both) tour bus ticket is enough not to come prepared to make a full (and responsible) use of it!

There's a third reason, which is to try to provide information to avoid confusion in most frequent topics beforehand.

A fourth and less important reason:

The Google Maps profile isn't enough to provide proper (and enough) Tips & Tricks, which I do every once in a while, when I remember and I have time.

Is the company paying you for this?

Haha NO.

Nobody even knows (yet) I had this idea, I just got it today and here I am rushing into creating a brief design so I can eventually work on it and offer tips & tricks for everyone.

I don't plan to let anyone know until I have enough (and proper) material to share.

Will you provide information on the other company?

Initially, Not.

Reason is, I haven't work for that company for 10 years now, what I know is outdated, and what it may not be useful for both is something I don't control after those many years, especially after the pandemic and the changes the service might had suffered (like at ours).

You can still take notes on the posts about touristic attractions and try to find on your own whether they also have discounts, a stop nearby, etc. for those.

What are you planing to provide?

  1. Tips & Tricks to visit attractions according to the BCT routes
  2. Tips & Tricks to create your own itinieraries according to your tastes/interests
  3. Tips & Tricks to create alternate itineraries according to Barcelona's History
  4. Information on the supplementary services on board
  5. Tips & Trips for Cruise Ship travelers
  6. Rules & Guidelines that are important for the travelers
  7. Frequent Asked Questions at the bus
  8. Tips & Tricks about how to get the tickets (and link to the Official Website)
And I plan to, at least, offer it in 4 different languages.
Anything concerning contacting the company, reporting/filing complaints, etc. you can do so at the Official Website or the Julia Travel's offices, since I am doing this off/job, voluntarily and completely without any aim other than facilitate things to our travelers.

Who are you?

That's been already said but, since site's under construction, I am simply an employee with 10 years of experience at the company, I am also a Google Local Guide and someone who hasn't traveled much compared to most true travelers, but has always traveled with careful planning but room to improvisation, so I know how important is to find the right information at the right time, but also how someone can end up missing things and wasting their precious vacational time only because they didn't ask, or they didn't prepared beforehand.

When will the site be ready?

As I said, eventually. This is something I'll do with the little spare time I have left, but I have high motivation to do it so, hopefully, the English & Spanish pages will be completed soon and the posts containing all the things listed above will get drafted and programmed to automatically update sometime near June.
